Skin conditions can be quite annoying, unsightly, and embarrassing, and seemingly impossible to clear up if you aren’t well versed in medical lore. Some can be painful too — especially if you’re dealing with a boil. Boils are small – or not so small – eruptions or inflamed swellings that suddenly appear on the skin, and they can pop out just about anywhere on the body, usually in the tenderest places. If you are suffering from a boil and would like to try some home remedies for boils, continue reading.

A primary concern with boils, especially if they develop in a visible part of the body, is that they may give you a scar if they pop. If you don’t pop it, the boil lingers for a couple of weeks before it finally gives up and goes away on its own. Luckily, there are some simple, pain-free solutions that can help.

1.  A paste can be created using cornmeal and boiling water. The paste should be applied directly to the boil and then covered with a clean, dry cloth. You will want to reapply the paste every two hours, you will find that the boil will come to a head on its own and drain.

2.  A warm cup can be used as a suction pump, centered over the boil it will increase the blood circulation to the infected site. This will also force the boil to a head and allow the infected pus to flow out.

3.  Another home remedy for boils is to cook some bacon, roll it in salt, then wrap it in a cloth and place that over the boil. The fat from the bacon combined with the salt will also work to bring the boil to a head.

These natural, safe, home remedies can be used at home to successfully treat the boil without irritation, pain or scarring.
